Privacy Policy
Closepath is a transaction coordination platform for residential real estate professionals. This policy describes what information we collect through closepath.cc and app.closepath.cc, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read.
What we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, and authentication identifiers, managed through our sign-in provider (Clerk).
- Transaction data you provide. Real estate contracts and related documents you upload or create, contract terms you enter, and communications you draft, approve, or receive through the service. This data can include names and contact details of transaction parties.
- Operational data. Standard service logs (timestamps, request identifiers, IP addresses) used for security and reliability monitoring.
How we use it
- To provide the service: computing contract deadlines, preparing contract drafts, drafting and sending communications you explicitly approve, and maintaining your transaction records.
- To process documents with AI: contract text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to extract terms and draft communications. These calls are bounded, logged, and used only to serve your request. Nothing client-facing is sent without explicit human approval.
- To operate securely: every change to a transaction is recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail.
Service providers
Closepath runs on a small set of subprocessors, each receiving only what their function requires:
- Microsoft Azure — hosting, database, document storage, and email delivery (United States regions).
- Clerk — authentication and session management.
- Anthropic — AI processing of contract text and communication drafting.
- Cloudflare — DNS for our domains.
- dotloop — only if you connect it, to transmit contract documents for electronic signature.
Security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Azure infrastructure. Access is limited to your authenticated workspace — Closepath is multi-tenant by design, and every query is scoped to your organization. We retain transaction records while your account is active; because the service maintains a compliance audit trail, completed-transaction records are retained per your organization’s configuration and applicable real estate record-keeping requirements.
Your choices
- You can request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and associated data, by emailing ron@dippold.com. We respond within 30 days.
- Communications drafted by Closepath are sent only after your explicit approval, and you can stop using send features at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be announced to account holders by email.
